Technical wire cloth for application in the paper industry
Modern pulp & paper mills cannot imagine stock preparation, formation, filtration and effluent treatment without the use of Technical Wires.
Andritz Kufferath started supplying Technical Wires to these individual applications decades ago, using the brand TecnoWeave®.
These Technical Wires are produced according to the latest manufacturing technologies and undergo continuous development.

Pulp production
A significant number of TecnoWeave® products are used during production of pulp.
For washer drums and filters, we offer AKU-TEC® stainless steel wires in widths of 6,50 m. Combinations woven especially for these applications, such as flat wires and round wires, deliver the best results. As an alternative, we can offer TECHNOFLEX® shrink covers made of PVDF or Polyester.
For double wire presses, we have continually developed our TECHNOFLEX® dewatering belts and we can offer robust high performance belts made of Polyester and/ or Polyamide. Strong woven seams lead to high lifetimes of our belts, proving the success of our belts.
Formation
Diagonal covers Andritz Kufferath system are standard covers for dandy rolls, cylinder moulds, suction formers, breast and wire rolls of all kinds. Those covers have advantages regarding long life and easy fitting and are made of stainless steel and bronze.
For forming and couch rolls, TecnoWeave® offers TECHNOFLEX® shrink covers made of synthetic materials.
Waste disposal
As complete recycling is not likely to be realised in the foreseeable future, each manufacturing process faces some kind of recycling. Also in the area of waste disposal Andritz Kufferath products can be supplied.
TECHNOFLEX® shrink covers and filter belts are offered for fitting on sludge thickeners. Further dewatering is performed by double wire presses or wire presses, equipped with TECHNOFLEX® belts.
Stock preparation
For stock preparation, Andritz Kufferath supplies diagonal covers made of stainless steel and TECHNOFLEX® shrink covers made of synthetic material for drum thickeners. Disc filters are fitted with TECHNOFLEX® filter bags. Disc filter are either sent to our mill to have them fitted or filter bags are supplied as purpose-made filter bags.
In preparation of waste paper, TECHNOFLEX® washer fabrics guarantee high throughput combined with good retention and long life.
TECHNOFLEX® belts, made of polyester, polyamide or a combination of both, either endless with a woven seam or a pin seam, are used on double wire presses and belt filters, providing excellent drainage performance and long life.
Colors and coating mixtures
AKU-TEC® filter cloth with a range from 500 µ to 50 µ is used for filtration and preparation of colours and coating mixtures. Special designs with individual weave patterns have been developed for vibration screens, giving longer life than usual filter cloth.
Filter plants are equipped with Andritz Kufferath filter tubes made of stainless steel, synthetic material or laminated cloth.
